Steven H. Block, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Block has over 25 years experience in raising capital for public and private transactions. His past achievements include coordinating the financing of the American Airlines Center in Dallas, coordinating the sale of the Dallas Mavericks and the issuance of $125 million in bonds to purchase a student living portfolio. He has also been involved in various IPOs, and served as an advisor to the FDIC. He attended the University of Arkansas where he obtained a BSBA in Accounting and a JD. As CEO, Mr. Block heads the executive team of Charity Capital and is responsible for strategic direction.

Dwayne E. Toler, President
Experience: NewSource Partners, co-founder

Arthur Andersen, senior consultant
Mr. Toler brings to the table over 25 years experience as a sponsor and founder of business venture transactions. His past achievements include being a sponsor of ten private equity limited partnerships and achieving a combined internal rate of return of over 50%. He also has in-depth experience in structuring investment offerings and raising capital from institutional sources. He has a BS in Accounting from Indiana University. As President, Mr. Toler oversees the day-to-day operations of Charity Capital.

Stephen B. Yeager, Vice President and General Counsel
Experience: Jones Day
Prior to joining Charity Capital, Mr. Yeager practiced law with a leading international firm, where his focus was complex commercial litigation, including the representation of insurance companies. In addition to his JD from Southern Methodist University, he also holds a BBA from SMU in Finance and Real Estate. He is responsible for all legal functions for Charity Capital, as well as various business matters related to marketing, non-profit organizations and regulatory issues.

Stephen A. Aman, Vice President of Insurance Services
Experience: Swiss Re Life & Health, Vice President, Administrative Reinsurance
Southwestern Life Corporation, Vice President, Planning
Mr. Aman brings over 23 years of financial and operational experience in the insurance and financial services industry to Charity Capital. In his previous positions, he was responsible for the management of various blocks of insurance with assets in excess of $5.9 billion. He has a broad management background in planning, analysis, M&A and operational consolidation functions for a multi-billion dollar insurance holding company. He has a BS in Accounting from Illinois State University and holds the designations of CPA and FLMI. Mr. Aman is currently responsible for the insurance, servicing and financial functions of Charity Capital.

Mr. Carter offers Charity Capital substantial insights into the nonprofit environment. His key strengths include the ability to create highly effective development programs, identify and resolve critical issues, and cultivate long-term relationships and strategic alliances. He obtained his BBA and JD from Southern Methodist University and his MBA from The Wharton School. In his current position, he brings an added dimension to Charity Capital’s ability to address the interests of the nonprofit organizations with which we work.

Alan D. Jones, Chief Financial Officer
Experience: Wyndham International, Inc., Senior Vice President – Tax

Kenneth Leventhal & Co., Senior Consultant
Mr. Jones has over 15 years of experience dealing with complicated tax, finance and accounting matters related to acquisitions, dispositions, and asset ownership. He has participated in the structuring of initial public offerings, public and private company acquisitions and dispositions, multi–asset acquisition and disposition transactions, and has led disposition transactions with assets in excess of $750 million. He has also participated in the structuring of term loans, collateralized mortgage-backed securities, and revolving credit facilities, including multiple public company refinancings. He obtained his MPA and BBA degrees in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and holds the professional designation of Certified Public Accountant.
